new computer
hohoho!
I've finally bought my new computer! But first of all, i would like to thank jermyn for helping and teaching me to build my own diy cpu as well as melvin for helping me to carry the stuff back!
So yup, went down to the IT fair with melvin on friday to check out the prices and stuff. Freaking crowded for a weekday. Really makes you wonder if singapore is really undergoing recession.. HAHA! Hmm.. I would say that sim lim square still sells most of the stuff found there cheaper, with exceptions of printers and monitors. So.. i only bought my monitor there and its a whooping 23 inch monitor! Its like good head exercise for me cuz now i will need to look left and right while using it.. LOL!
Headed to sim lim sq to meet jerm after that. Thank goodness they gave a free trolley for the monitor cuz i have seriously no idea how i am going to carry it to sim lim. So yup, bought the cpu parts from PC themes which i must say, is really one of the cheaper stores ard. Here are the specs of my computer..
Processor - Intel Core2 duo E7500 @ 2.93Ghz
HDD - Western Digital Black Cavier 640GB (plus 80GB from my old cpu! So total 720GB)
PSU - Cooler Master 750W real power
Graphic Card - 1GB Palit ATI Radeon HD4870 Sonic Dual
RAM - Kingston DDR2 Hyper-X 4GB
DVDRW - LG DVDRW 22x sata lightscribe
Monitor - 23" Samsung Full HD widescreen
Keyboard - Razer lycosa
Mouse - Razer diamondback 3G
Speakers - Sonic Gear Evo 7
Mouse pad - Everglide Titan
Only the mouse, mouse pad and speakers were already the ones i was using. The rest are all brand new! Whoo! And its like i can play the latest games with the highest settings without lag and i can open up 3 documents side by side to view for easy referencing (makes lab reports so much easier to do luh!). Oh! did i mention? I ripped off my tv tuner card from my old cpu n installed it to this one too! Which means.. I can watch tv on my new cpu too! MUAHAHA! Well.. here are some pics..

Okie~ So for now, guess i am short of an external 2.5" HDD and a good gaming headset to make my whole set complete! Gotta start saving again! But arghz.. SD is coming to Singapore!! DAMN!!
